Russian President Vladimir Putin has highlighted the need for a stable multipolar world order, attributing the current global security tensions to bloc confrontations and some countries’ attempts to secure unilateral advantages. Speaking at the 23rd annual Valdai Discussion Club, Putin emphasized that the resolution of the conflict in Ukraine should be achieved through compromise and negotiations rather than military defeat.
Putin’s remarks come amid ongoing hostilities in Ukraine, where he insists on the importance of Ukraine maintaining a neutral stance post-conflict. He advocates for the dissolution of the previous unipolar international system in favor of a multipolar framework, urging greater international cooperation that respects the diverse interests of different nations. Russia, he added, is prepared to collaborate with other countries to establish a more stable international order.
In a related development, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the first combat deployment of Ukraine’s domestically produced FP-7 tactical ballistic missile. While Zelenskyy did not specify the location or target of its use, he indicated that Ukraine will continue the development and production of this missile technology.
